Westover

Shawna Cross is a West Virginia native; she was born in Fairmont and has lived in Westover for over 15 years.  She is a graduate of West Virginia University, with a background in social work.  Her professional experience includes crisis intervention, helping low-income families with shelter and food needs, domestic violence counseling, grant writing, office management, bookkeeping and payroll, and she recently got her WV Real Estate license.  Shawna is a beekeeper and active in both the Monongalia County Beekeepers Association and the WV Beekeepers Association.  She got involved in local government when she petitioned the City of Westover to allow urban beekeeping.  She is eager to get involved and tries to make a positive difference wherever she can.  Shawna is married and enjoys planting flowers and playing golf on the weekends.
