Closing for renovation!
The Senior Center will be closed for renovation from January 24 through January 30.

BINGO ON WEDNESDAYS AT 6:00 PM

Doors will open at 5 PM with the first game promptly at 6 PM.  We will be printing single use cards which will be thrown away at the end of the night.  We are suggesting that you bring your own chips but if you do not have them, we will have some available which will be sanitized before each night.  Masks and temperature checks will be mandatory.  We will have a limited supply of masks available.  Our concession stand will not be opening.  Food will not be allowed in the building, but you may use the pavilion before entering the building.  You may bring a drink into the playing area.  Please bear with us as we transition to these new procedures for the safety of all of our members and guests.

Covered dish dinners have been cancelled until further notice.

With an entrance tucked around the back of Westover City Hall, Westside Senior Center is an extraordinary place. Run entirely by volunteers, the center provides a remarkable array of activities that can pique the interest of anyone. What’s more, membership is only $10 annually to anyone over the age of 50.This includes access to our well equipped fitness center.

The Center has a full kitchen, a large dining area in which cards games, bingo and other activities occur, a wonderfully equipped TV room where West Virginia University football and basketball watching parties are held, and an exercise room quipped with the latest cardio machines and nautilus weights. The exercise room even includes a pool table.

Opposite the entrance is a large picnic and beautiful gazebo area. These are perfect for various public events as well as private parties such as wedding receptions. For availability and rental rates please email us at westsideseniorcenter@gmail.com or give us a call at (304) 296-6583.

The Center also serves as a meeting place for knitting, food collections for a local church pantry and the collection of care packages for our troops stationed abroad. We have a number of weekly activities planned and throughout the year we take trips to various festivals, fairs and cities. Check out our monthly newsletter provided below for a look at these activities.

Center hours are 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday with other hours for special events and game watches. Come and join in on the fun. Give the Center a call at (304) 296-6583 or send us an email at wssc26501@gmail.com.
